Trail Safety – Hidden Peak Heli-Biking Trail
Part-Time / On-Call Seasonal Position
Coast Range is looking for experienced mountain bikers to join our Trail Safety team for the 2026 heli-biking season on the Hidden Peak Trail near Whistler, BC.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your riding skills with guest safety, first aid, helicopter-supported operations, and backcountry mountain work in a remote alpine environment.
The Role
Trail Safety team members help ensure the safe daily operation of our heli-biking program. You will be the first person flown to the trail each day, preparing landing zones, assisting guest arrivals at the top of the trail, monitoring trail conditions, communicating with pilots and operations staff, and ensuring all riders safely complete their descent.
This is a part-time, on-call seasonal position operating from mid-July through early October. Availability is primarily required Thursday through Sunday.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting at $27.00/hour
Typical operating days are 6–8 hours
Paid training, trail work, and operational preparation days
Seasonal bicycle maintenance allowance (eligibility requirements apply)

Required Qualifications
80-hour Wilderness First Aid certification (or higher)
Strong technical mountain biking skills
Ability to work independently in remote environments
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Class 4 Unrestricted Driver's Licence*
Comfortable driving a passenger van and towing a trailer

Preferred Qualifications
Backcountry recreation and leadership experience
Trail building or maintenance experience
Helicopter operations experience
Advanced first aid or rescue training
