Now Hiring: Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Location: Sea to Sky Corridor (Remote with regular in-person meetings)
Position: Part-Time (20–30 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to support the marketing efforts of three tourism and hospitality brands based in the Sea to Sky region.

This is a primarily remote and flexible position, with the expectation that deadlines, deliverables, and communication commitments are consistently met. Occasional in-person meetings, planning sessions, and on-site content creation will be required, which is why we are seeking a candidate who lives within the Sea to Sky region and understands the local community, lifestyle, and tourism industry. 

The successful candidate will be someone who can take ownership of projects, manage priorities, and bring ideas from concept through execution. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader team.

As our marketing initiatives continue to grow, there is an opportunity for this position to expand into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Plan, create, and schedule content across three company brands.

  • Develop monthly social media content calendars for review and approval by Operations Managers.

  • Create and publish 3–5 posts per week, per account.

  • Develop engaging reels, stories, and other short-form video content.

  • Create captions and storytelling content that aligns with each brand’s voice.

  • Share relevant community and partner content.

  • Monitor social media inboxes and respond to or appropriately forward inquiries.

  • Stay current with social media trends and bring forward creative ideas and opportunities.

  • Create & send monthly social media reports

Email Marketing & Content Marketing

  • Coordinate and produce one newsletter per company each month.

  • Develop newsletter content by sourcing stories, seasonal updates, promotions, and company highlights.

  • Write and publish blog articles that support SEO, website traffic, and marketing goals.

  • Repurpose blog and newsletter content across social media and other marketing channels.

  • Manage content timelines, approvals, and publishing schedules to ensure deliverables are completed on time..

Marketing Support

  • Create marketing graphics using Canva.

  • Edit videos and support digital content creation.

  • Complete website updates and maintain accurate, engaging online content.

  • Organize and maintain image and video libraries in Google Drive.

  • Assist with funding applications, media requests, and industry partner requirements.

  • Support broader marketing campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and special projects as needed.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will:

  • Take ownership of assigned marketing initiatives from planning through completion.

  • Consistently meet deadlines and maintain organized systems for managing tasks and content.

  • Communicate proactively regarding progress, challenges, and timelines.

  • Bring forward ideas, recommendations, and opportunities without requiring constant direction.

  • Be comfortable working independently while remaining connected with the team.

  • Be open to feedback and able to adapt priorities as business needs change.

  • Maintain a high standard of quality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone with experience in:

  • Experience managing multiple brands or marketing channels simultaneously. .

  • Social media content creation and management.

  • Content planning and scheduling.

  • Canva and basic graphic design.

  • Short-form video creation and editing.

  • Copywriting and brand storytelling.

  • Digital marketing and online community engagement.

  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Working independently in a remote environment

  • Tourism, hospitality, outdoor recreation, or destination marketing.

Bonus Skills

Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset, but is not required: 

  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads Manager.

  • Google Ads.

  • Photography or videography.

  • Marketing analytics and reporting.
